Tantanmen is a crowd-pleaser, traditionally noodles with ground pork in a spicy soup. There's no ramen dish like it, as it's intricate blend of both savory and spicy. Tantanmen is extremely tasty and surprisingly easy to make! I’m sure after this class, you will get addicted to this spicy, nutty, and creamy broth ramen! For those who are not good at spicy foods, we can also make mild tantanmen. So, no worries!

In addition, we will make Japanese salad with tasty miso dressing for our starter.

What you will prepare / learn:

  • What is Umami and how to create it
  • Basic Dashi
  • Tantanmen paste from scratch
  • Toppings for Ramen: niku (ground pork), vegetarian topping: nasu (eggplant), ajitsuke tamago (soft-boiled eggs), wakame, etc.
  • Japanese salad with miso dressing

You will be able to customise your ramen with the toppings of your choice and then enjoy your own ramen noodle soup in the company of your fellow foodies.

Japanese dessert will be served at the end of our dinner, and you will go home with memorable experience.
